Property Sense, an estate and letting agency based in Stockport, has launched with a bold five-year strategy to shake up the industry by selling properties for free. This new agency offers a cost-free service to help sellers list their homes, and it aims to also provide monetary benefits to homeowners through its unique pricing models.
Marking its debut, Property Sense has opened its Exchange Street headquarters in Stockport.
The company is striving to manage 5,000 properties and seize a 70% share of new online sales instructions within five years.
Alex Cunningham, the general manager of Property Sense, expressed that the traditional way of buying and selling property in the UK has remained unchanged for over two centuries, a notion he finds astonishing considering the process’s stress and expense.
“With today’s launch, we’re changing the UK estate and letting agency landscape for the better, focusing on seller advantages – a long overdue improvement,” says Cunningham.
“Our approach is simple and clear. Unlike other agencies, we don’t have hidden fees, and we don’t sacrifice quality – we combine the best aspects of traditional and online estate agencies into a superior sales and lettings service that benefits everyone’s financial interests.
“Homeowners in the UK should be able to profit from their property transactions, whether they’re selling, renting out, or managing property portfolios,” he adds.
But how will Property Sense turn a profit?
The company plans to derive its revenue from alternative sources rather than direct sales commissions.
Property Sense pledges to pay UK homeowners to list their properties and is also introducing a service for fully funded property maintenance and repairs with guaranteed rent.
The agency promises comprehensive services for home sales, lettings, and property management, complete with unique features such as personalized account management.
For landlords, Property Sense provides property management bundles that also include maintenance and repairs financing.
The specific costs of the property management services, profit margins for maintenance and repairs, as well as details about the guaranteed rent offer are still not publicly disclosed.
