Savills Broadens Its Operational Capital Markets Division in Poland

Savills’ Operational Capital Markets division guides clients in sectors like multifamily and single family homes, co-living, student and senior housing, healthcare, hotels, and self-storage, spanning both the UK and EMEA. This team is internationally recognized for advising on deals amounting to over £20 billion in the past three years.

Under the leadership of Jacek Kałużny, with 15 years’ experience in various living sectors, the Polish branch of the team is expanding. Jacek’s expertise encompasses real estate advisory, investment management, plus mergers and acquisitions, and he has contributed to numerous projects in Private Rented Sector (PRS) and affordable housing throughout his career.

Jacek Kałużny, the head of the division in Poland, remarked that while the markets for student housing, PRS, and senior living in Poland are still emerging, they present substantial growth opportunities. He emphasized Savills’ broad network of specialists and its track record of successful deals in these areas on a global level, noting that the Polish team has already advised on pioneering transactions in these sectors.

The growth of the Polish division comes on the heels of their past achievements, which include advising on over €230 million (or over PLN 1 billion) in transactions related to living acquisitions and disposals in Poland.

Savills’ OCM division functions throughout the UK and EMEA, providing clients with top-notch real estate consultancy combined with investment banking services. This includes Capital Advisory with expertise in corporate finance, joint ventures, capital raising, M&A, and debt advice across the division.

Peter Allen, the UK & EMEA division head, welcomed Jacek to his new position and expressed enthusiasm about working together to enhance the Operational Capital Markets platform in Poland. Allen highlighted Jacek’s extensive experience, which is slated to facilitate the growth of OCM as the various living sectors in Poland progress. Allen also pointed out the strengths Savills offers with its specialized sectors, comprehensive services and a global network exceeding 700 offices, which assures clients of local insight, top-tier sector intelligence, and an international investor base.
