Hotel real estate experts Savills, together with Christie & Co, report the successful sale of three Italian hotels to CHC Holding S.P.A. The hotels sold are the Holiday Inn Naples, My One Hotel Bologna, and Hotel Villa Ducale Parma.
The deal included 535 hotel rooms across all properties and provided the buyer, an Italian hotel company, with a chance to enhance the hotels’ value. The buyer can reposition, manage, and integrate these hotels into the Italian market more effectively.
Dario Leone, the Hospitality & Leisure director in Italy for Savills, expressed pride in playing a part in the sale. The deal is significant in size for the Italian hotel market’s Q1 2024 transactions and highlights the rising interest in hotel properties, even in less prominent destinations. These areas are becoming popular among local and international investors alike.
Carine Bonnejean, who is in charge of the Hotel sector at Christie & Co, acknowledged the deal as notable. She emphasized that Christie & Co’s extensive international network was pivotal in showcasing the properties to a wide range of global buyers. The strategic locations of these hotels in Italy led to spirited bidding from various international investors.
