Northern Ireland’s Quicklet Agency has recently purchased the property management firm ACE Property, paying a multi-million pound price.
ACE Property, situated near the heart of Edinburgh in Bruntsfield, was founded by Stuart Johnson and Alan Nash in 2005. The acquisition will see nine ACE Property staff members join the Quicklet Ageny team.
Quicklet, which is based on Belfast’s Lisburn Road and has branches in Lurgan and Lisburn, started its operations in 2010. After acquiring Pinpoint property in South Belfast in 2023, Quicklet Agency is now pursuing additional purchases in Belfast and Edinburgh, as well as nearby important regional cities with substantial student numbers.
With a target to manage 5,500 properties by 2026, Quicklet’s takeover of Ace Property marks the company’s eleventh acquisition since start-up, including the 2019 buyout of Albany lettings in Edinburgh.
Gavin McEvoy, a director at Quicklet Agency, expressed his enthusiasm about the ACE Property acquisition, noting its significance in growing their managed property portfolio, particularly in cities with a large student population.
He mentioned that the integration of ACE Property is ideal for Quicklet’s growth, enhancing their presence in Edinburgh, where they previously acquired Albany Property in 2019. McEvoy welcomes the experienced ACE Property team to Quicklet.
Dermot O’Hanlon, the co-director of Quicklet, also expressed his excitement over the Scottish market expansion and highlighted Quicklet’s ongoing commitment to growth and the clear strategy they have for the future of the company. He commended their team’s strength, which supports the realization of Quicklet’s business vision.
