NEW YORK (May 15, 2024) – Savills has promoted Janet Woods to be the new President for its North American operations. In her new role, Woods will manage key revenue-generating activities, and partner with local, regional, and North American leaders to fulfil the company’s short and long-term goals.
Upon announcing the promotion, David Lipson, CEO of Savills North America, praised Woods for her significant contributions since 2019. He highlighted her involvement in critical tasks including high-level recruitment and strategy formulation, which she successfully implemented, as the reason for her elevation. Lipson mentioned Woods’ role in evolving service offerings and expanding the business to stand out amongst competitors.
Woods’ previous position was President, East, where she managed the company’s operations in various regions, coordinated with leadership for recruitment and retention, engaged in mergers and acquisitions, and aligned regional goals with the company’s broader strategies.
Woods voiced her excitement about the new opportunity. She emphasized her commitment to preserving the company’s unique culture while driving growth and nurturing future leaders.
With a commercial real estate career of three decades, Woods joined Savills in 2019 to lead the Northeast Region. She has held pivotal roles at JLL, Cassidy Turley, Cushman & Wakefield, and the Stan Johnson Company before her tenure at Savills.
Savills, with its extensive network of over 40 offices and 1,000-plus employees across North America, offers a wide range of services including tenant representation, occupancy and workplace strategies, capital markets, labour analytics, project management, and workforce and incentives strategy to both local and international clients.
