Savills reports that even with changes in the economy, the prime country homes market is still strong, with sales near €200 million outside of big cities.
Savills studied sales of prime country homes—those over one million euros and outside Dublin, major regional cities, and north Wicklow—using data from the Property Price Register.
Highlights from 2023 include:
1. **Total Sales Amount**: Reached €190.6 million, close to the previous year’s total.
2. **Average Sale Price**: Averaged €1.5 million, a small drop indicating a more varied range of properties.
3. **Best Performing Regions**: Cork leads, followed by Kildare, Meath, and Wicklow.
4. **Rising Regions**: Tipperary and Sligo are experiencing strong growth.
