Homes by Esh, a housebuilding company, plans to nearly double its active housing projects by the end of 2024, with the goal of having seven developments underway by the following year.
Currently, the homebuilder is working on four developments that include over 600 new homes.
Deputy Managing Director of Homes by Esh, Colin Willetts, commented: “We are actively submitting planning proposals for multiple locations in County Durham, which signifies our gradual expansion. With four housing developments already in progress, we’re looking to grow our project list by acquiring strategic land throughout the North East. By 2025, we expect to be working on seven development sites.”
For over five years, Homes by Esh has partnered with Darlington Borough Council on a joint initiative. Their biggest project is the West Park Garden Village on the edge of the town.
This major development will see the construction of more than 400 new homes that will offer a variety of two and three-bedroom smaller homes, as well as middle-market three and four-bedroom houses. Prices start at £149,995 for a two-bedroom home, £179,995 for a three-bedroom, and £324,995 for a four-bedroom house. The development also boasts the newly created West Park Nature Reserve, the area’s first new park in a century.
Additionally, Homes by Esh is progressing with two other projects, Elder Brook Park and Hurworth Meadows. The company will also introduce a series of larger four-, five-, and six-bedroom homes at Havelock Park, near Blackwell, later in the year.
