An estate agent company named eXp UK is changing the game by offering its full-time employees unlimited holidays. This move aims to create a better balance between personal life and work for everyone at the company, including those who are not self-employed agents.
As it stands, the law requires at least 28 days of paid leave annually for those working five days a week, which is about 5.6 weeks off.
Statistics reveal that the average worker took nearly 34 days off in 2023, which was a decrease from around 37 days the year before. However, these numbers include the nine public holidays in 2023, which some employers might count as part of the mandatory 28 days off.
eXp UK believes it’s time for real estate agents to have a better work-life balance, which is why they’re providing unlimited leave days for all their full-time staff.
Adam Day, the head of eXp UK, says that their self-employed agents thrive due to the independence and flexibility they’re given, which aligns with the company’s outstanding culture. He believes it’s essential to offer the same to all their full-time employees.
With unlimited vacation, eXp UK employees can now take the time they need, whether it’s an extended maternity leave or a longer world trip, or for any other reason they might have.
