Estate Agency Shuts Down Due to Increasing Costs

A well-known estate agency in Norfolk has stopped its operations. The owner blames mounting costs and stricter compliance rules for his decision.

The agency, Trett Phillips Residential, which operates branches in Stalham and Aylsham, was unable to carry on due to various difficulties.

In a message to their clients, the owner, Daniel Trett, stated that the estate agency field is constantly changing, with higher costs, stricter compliance, and advancing technology, all contributing to operational challenges in a shifting economy, especially during an official recession.

He said that deciding to shut down was difficult, but it was the right time to hand over control to someone who could take the business further.

The company has been acquired by Minors and Brady, which Trett believes is a suitable successor.

Trett expressed that while he enjoyed the journey with his business, he is ready to start a new chapter and thanks all his clients and staff for their support.
